About Brandon Tehiko
From a young age, BMX has been at the centre of my life. I started racing at just eight years old, and over the next 16 years I poured everything I had into the sport. By the time I retired from racing at 24, I had become a 6x Australian National Champion — including 1x Elite, 1x Junior Elite, and multiple Age Class titles. I competed against the best in the world, making several Championship finals and standing on the World Championship Time Trial podium twice as a Junior Elite.
Those years shaped me far beyond results. BMX taught me resilience, discipline, and the ability to perform under pressure. But perhaps the biggest turning point came in 2018, when I experienced a powerful shift in my mindset. I realised that what truly fulfilled me wasn’t just my own racing — it was helping others achieve their goals.
I began coaching riders and discovered that my experiences, both the highs and the setbacks, could be used to guide others towards success. From 2019 onwards, my focus shifted almost entirely towards coaching and education. I dedicated myself to learning, practising, and refining my methods — blending real-world racing experience with evidence-based strength & conditioning, sprint programming, mindset work, and on-bike skill development.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of helping 100+ athletes chase down their goals — from young riders building their foundations, to elite athletes representing their countries on the world stage. I bring to my coaching the same tenacity, attention to detail, and passion that fuelled my racing career.
Today, my mission is simple:
👉 To help BMX athletes unlock their potential through structured coaching, proven systems, and the mindset required to thrive — on and off the track.
“Back yourself - always.”
